Free Workshop & Professional Development

Sphero is thrilled to partner with Oakland Schools for a FREE STEM/Computer Science Symposium for principals, school leaders, and PK–12 STEM/STEAM educators eager to bring coding, robotics, and climate focused problem-solving into the classroom. This dynamic opportunity will provide hands-on professional learning experience designed through engaging activities with Sphero indi, BOLT+, RVR+, and Blueprint Engineering.
Participants will explore how to teach foundational coding and computational thinking while tackling real-world environmental challenges aligned to climate science. Discover how computer science can innovate interdisciplinary instruction, foster critical thinking, and empower students to design solutions to pressing issues like sustainability, resilience, and energy use. Walk away with ready-to-use lesson plans and a supportive network of like-minded educators—plus the inspiration to lead meaningful innovation in your district.

"The Sphero STEM Symposium was a day filled with learning, collaboration, and most importantly, play! It was incredible to see educators from across the state join together in the exploration of STEM and robotics-integrated lessons. Hearing the laughter and watching teachers exchange ideas and contact information was great feedback on the success of the day!"
